The ultimate purpose of this reading group is to start a public-common partnership, the institutional form laid out in the book.
The reading group is a chaotic pre-formation of an actually existing public-common partnership, the first step toward a working group which works to launch a public-common partnership in practical reality.
The reading and interp group is a kind of pre-conceptual breeding ground of a higher order, and this order is initially conceived by acting out a type of ritual, where we will read every single sentence out loud, and record the reading on multiple sources, going through it all in sequence page by page, chapter by chapter. This performance is both an organizing force and a symbolic reading into the record.
Text mapping worksheets will provoke the self-creative aspect of the ritual known as interp. Through the individual worksheets we will produce a mapping of the text, which results in a texty spreadsheet containing the shared parts of the interp.

Radical Abundance Reading and Interp Group
-
There is time at the beginning to go over references and citations from the previous reading and interp session, for participants to talk about texts they’ve read related to the main text. What references and citations from the readings have you followed up on and what did you learn or discover?
This is interp time. If you are new or have no related text to report or comment on, you answer the constant question of the reading group: why do you want to read this book? What do you want to get out of it? What is your main interest in reading it?
-
Guided outdoor activities and free play to stretch, move, and soak up some fresh air.
-
Campers will be responsible for brining their own lunch, but we'll provide water and some additional snacks daily.
-
Hands-on time to explore the daily theme—whether it’s art, building, storytelling, or movement.
-
We'll end the day with a closing circle before campers head home for the evening.
