The Basics, The Dump Trump Train, and the Vigil For Democracy

Here’s how it works:

Each lot is a local penny campaign.

The pennies will be the center of a permitted protest event.

The purpose of the penny protest is to elect Senators and House Representatives who will pass good legislation. The pennies are a way of focusing effort and increasing precision.

The first lot is in protest of Roger Marshall, who voted for the big bad bill. This is 572,000 pennies, a penny for each person who is ready to say let’s dump Trump, let’s end toxic, because of this bad bill you voted for we want the GOP out.

Because our local representative to Congress belongs to the GOP—we call on Roger Marshall to dump Trump, and end his allegiance to toxic Trumpism, and if he won’t and because he voted for the big bad bill—we want Roger Marshall out.

Who will clean up these pennies? Who will clean up all the toxic Trumpism?

You can join this protest action by purchasing your own bottle of 100 or batch of 10,000 pennies.

If you show up in person and bring your own pennies to make a bottle of 100, the bottle costs half as much, $5.

The Dump Trump Train

A million pennies can stop a train, even if it’s a Trumpism Train, and seems unstoppable, with all the tracks laid, and the robber barons having secured safe passage for their lines. This collision with the reality of a million pennies is the Dump Trump Train.

Vigil For Democracy

The penny project, the “Dump Trump” penny — it’s a product to always be putting out, something you can be working on when nothing else is happening at the Vigil For Democracy.

It’s just a penny and words in black sharpie, but it’s something, it’s a reliably sourced product. There are the raw resources, pennies, and there is the question of the end product, of what to do with it, how to collect it in larger amounts, and where to go with this finished product, the “Dump Trump/Good Bill” pennies.

In between the raw resources and finished product there is work—they need to be made, a person has to write the words on the penny with a sharpie. The pile of unmarked pennies is transformed into stacks of finished Dump Trump pennies. The penny is gold-colored in the light, a brief illusion image of gold, the falsest gold, mirroring Trump’s gilded lies.
